April Evangelism meeting
The Lord moved in a tremendous way in the Evangelism meeting we had this past Monday at Abundant life. The worship was anointed as usual, and then the young people did a wonderful job in the drama presentation. IT was a short and simple drama that really prepared the way for the rest of the service. Then we had one of our leaders share his testimony.
Then I gave the message the Lord gave me from Isaiah 49. Verse 16 in this chapter says “See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before Me.” I then began to tell the people how much God loves them and He is love. They are written on the palm of His hands, and they are before Him day and night. This passage was written to Zion when it was at its peak of wickedness. Their sins were great before the Lord and their walls were destroyed. This shows that God loves us despite our faults and failures. He sees us not as we are, but what we can be in Him. I shared how he is the Father waiting for us to return to Him just like in the story of the prodigal son. When Adam and Eve chose sinning over obeying God’s command, He came seeking Adam and made a sacrifice to cover Adam. Our names are written on the palm of His hands and Jesus bled from His hands so that we could be atoned for. Just like in the life of Joseph we go through circumstances that we don’t understand and they make us doubt God loves us. He was in control of all the things that happened to Joseph. He is in control of our lives and will use all things for His glory.
I then told the attendees if they continued to try to come to God by their own good deeds and self righteousness then their sins will be remembered by God day and night, but if they returned to the Lord He would wipe out their sins eternally. I gave the call to respond, and they responded with raising their hands. I give all Glory to God for allowing me to be used by Him to bring lost souls to Him.
Now may “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.” 2 Cor. 13:14
