Sri Lanka

I have been in Sri Lanka for four days and it has been an amazing experience! It is much hotter here than how we left Lebanon, and we have been battling mosquitoes, but it is well worth the difficulty to be able to see the beautiful country of Sri Lanka and to spend time with the people here.

In this short time we have visited jungles, seen monkeys and elephants, and have eaten quite a bit of Sri Lankan food (without the spice) and visited with several families. We have also had wonderful times of ministry in the Sri Lanka churches. On Sunday morning, I ministered in the main church to more than 1,000 attendees. I spoke to them about the “Prayer of Hannah” and how she knew He was the God Almighty and how that influenced the way she prayed. After the meeting, many people came for prayer and were so hungry for God.That afternoon, we travelled almost 20 kilometers to minister in a village to a branch of the main church, this branch has about 120 members. I encouraged them with a message of how when God gives you a dream, no one can stop it but it will come to pass. At the end of the meeting, while I was praying, the Lord gave a word to the pastor. It was confirmation of what many men of God had already spoken to this pastor. When we were finished, the congregation sat with us outside of the church and we had tea and traditional Sri Lankan food and a great time of fellowship.

Today, I will have the privilege to preach in the Bible school for three hours. I will be teaching about how God works on your life to be fruitful and how He deals with you to make you the person that He wants you to be.
Please pray for me because on Thursday I have a meeting in another branch church. Friday we will have a big healing service, a lot of new people will come and we are believing for miracles. On Saturday afternoon, I will be ministering in the youth service. Our final day here will be Sunday, and I will be leading the Palm Sunday services.
Thank you for your interest in our trip to Sri Lanka. I appreciate your prayers so much. I will put pictures when I return to Lebanon, but I will post another update in the next few days. God bless you!

Visit to Lebanese Engineering University

Greetings! I just want to tell you again how thankful I am that you are interested in what God is doing in my life, in Lebanon and around the world. I am happy to be updating you on the work and ministry, so be sure to come back often.

This week I had a great opportunity to speak about the Gospel to university students. I was invited to speak to a class on the subject of death; it was a wonderful time and the students were very receptive. Knowing how much students learn about science and reason, I shared with them how God is over science. I explained by using examples of how science is confirming stories in the Bible, such as when Jonah was swallowed by whale. Science once said this was impossible, but now they have found a place in a whale’s belly where someone could, in fact, stay alive for three days only. Even if it is impossible, though, we believe what God says. What if God said that Jonah swallowed the whale? I challenged them to believe that God is over science. Another example is when Jesus walked on water. God created gravity, and He can override it when He chooses.

I started the topic of death by explaining how death entered when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden. The only remedy for death was for Jesus to come to the Earth as flesh and to die on the cross. His death is why we have the hope of eternal life, and it is only by believing in Him that we can enter into heaven. The reason Jesus had to die on the cross, and not any other way, is to redeem us from the curse of sin. In the Old Testament, it says that cursed is he who hangs on a tree. Jesus became a curse so that we could become the righteousness of God. When I gave an invitation at the end of the talk for those who wanted to receive Jesus, every student in the classroom raised their hand! What an opportunity to present the Gospel message that Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we can live for Him. I believe that the Word of God spoken to these university students will not return void, but will produce fruit in their lives!
