God

We began recently new series of teaching entitled ‘God’ – ‘Knowing the person of God’ and knowing things related to God and His characteristics. In reality I don’t know into what extend I will go in this series because we will never reach to an end. We can talk about His holiness, mercy, justice, love and so on. Things that u can’t imagine or even think about God. Imagine, we are talking about God, the Bible as whole talks about God. Everything that we’re going to talk about has to be revealed to you through the Holy Spirit because we will talk and study verses from the bible.

Psalm 16:7-8 ‘I will praise the LORD, who counsels me even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. ‘

Notice here that these verses seem to be opposing each other, but they’re not when the Holy Spirit reveals you what does it mean. How can you have someone set before you and at your right in the same time, it’s impossible. God can see every angle! David is declaring that ‘I have set the LORD always before me.  Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken’ God is at the right of every believer and He will never let them go. He has made a covenant through the blood and the cross. Through the new covenant, He  has adhered that he will be right next to you if you’re good or not  because the covenant is between Jesus and the Father. But what makes the difference in your life is that ‘I have set the LORD always before me, Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices’. Notice the difference among believers, that are always unhappy and in a routine life because God is at their right hand. God being at your right hand is for security, but in order to be glad and rejoicing He has to be before you.

Psalm 34:4 ‘I sought the LORD, and he answered me;   he delivered me from all my fears.’ When you pray to God, he will deliver you but continue with me to the next verse ‘Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.’ They were not shamed, they were looking at Him. David is revealing an important revelation that, yes it is good to enjoy God’s blessing but if you set Him before you there’s the real joy and happiness. Stop struggling in order to find real happiness because the real happiness and peace is in seeing the face of Christ, meaning `knowing God. ‘Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure’ because I’m seeing you, looking at you.

I pray that this Truth will be revealed to you and you decide to set God before your eyes.
