The Blood of the Lamb! Part 2
My beloveds, we will continue last week’s blog. As you can recall, we were talking about overcoming satan by the blood of the lamb. (Refer to the previous blog for more information.)
Satan is defeated by the lamb, and the lamb grabs him and puts him under my feet. There are believers who think that they overcome satan and put him under their feet. You read in the book of Judah that the angel did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against satan. You find believers who stand in front of satan and disregard the blood of the lamb and rebuke satan and say ‘I’m a believer, satan is under my feet’. To overcome is by the blood ‘You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.( 1 John 4:4). Do you want to overcome and win? The only solution is to walk in triumphal procession of the Lamb! ‘In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37).
David understood this principle and stood in front of God and declared ‘you are my strength!’. You don’t read a verse where David says ‘I am strong’ on the contrary he declares ‘Oh Lord, you are my strength!’. The secret of a believers conquer is -1- they knew the key to conquer, the key to conquer is in the God of victory. We are more than conquerors, in other words we do not fight; we just walk in the triumphal procession! We enjoy the victory! We run to the Lamb, we stand behind the Lamb and let satan come close. Satan, who is full of fury, when he sees Jesus he trembles and begs, begs and says ‘Please send me to the pigs’ (Mark 5:1-20). To whom does he beg? To the Lamb!
David in his troubles stood and said ‘With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.’ (Psalm 18:29). David is saying here, not with his strength he can advance against a troop or scale a wall but by the help of His God he can do them all. I know who I am; I know who satan is and who my God is. And when I know who my God is, I am always victorious. Satan is so upset and every time I overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, he is so full of fury.
Satan has three plans for your life:
1: Satan comes to tempt you.
2: Satan comes to threaten and frighten you.
3: Satan comes to hit you.
If Satan was not able to apply these three points over your life then you conquered him!
He comes and says why you don’t try this. Do not me tempted by anything of this world, because Satan’s plan is to tempt you and lead you to be robbed and murdered. Most of you because of our ignorance and stupidity say ‘ yes, why won’t I try it? I will not fall, for I am strong. I’ll just have a look’ There is no one in the bible that just had a look and didn’t fall into the trap of sin. Remember David!
Now, we are the children of the light. He can’t do all this to you unless if you allow him. Therefore he comes and tempts you, so that you open the door for him and say ‘I want this thing’ and how do you open a door? By sinning against God. He tempts you, be very careful while you are fighting in the spiritual realms, do not disregard the enemy. Do not play or have a conversation with him.
My beloveds, you do not fall when you are weak but you fall when you are strong. David did not fall when he was young and full of youthful lusts. God told me these words, when David was a young man and he was shepherding he was full of youthful lusts. But he fought satan because he knew he was weak but he was fighting satan by His God. ‘Oh Lord, you are my strength!’ David did not fall when he was running away from King Saul. David did not fall while he had problems.
Many of us say that we are falling because we have problems. This is a lie from satan. David did not fall when he was threatened by death. David fell in his castle, when he had many wives. Though David had youthful lusts, notice what did Paul say to his disciple Timothy ‘Flee the evil desires of youth’ (2 Timothy 2:22). When we see this verse we say that Timothy was a young man. You know who Timothy was? He was the Pastor of the churches in Ephesians; he was a Pastor over several Pastors. Notice what Apostle Paul said ‘Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.’ (1 Peter 5:8). We all are happy by the ‘like a roaring lion’, not a lion but like a lion and we dismiss the beginning ‘Be self-controlled and alert’. ‘Resist him, standing firm in the faith’, you should resist satan. There is a continuous war with satan until we go to heaven. A continuous war, you say ‘I don’t know what are you talking about’, that is because you are not fighting and you’re always defeated. We should fight day and night, and overcome day and night by the blood of the Lamb.
The ending of this blog will be posted on Thursday.
Blessings –
